YOGA EXERCISES FOR ASTHMA
Yoga is an excellent stress-relieving exercise, involving gentle stretches and breathing techniques. It may be particularly beneficial for people with asthma, as it can help increase your lung function and improve stress management.
Yoga poses that are well-suited to asthma patients include the sukasana (sitting with your legs crossed while breathing slowly and evenly), and the bridge (laying on your back and raising your hips).
If you would rather join a yoga class, be sure to let the instructor know that you have asthma.
SWIMMING WITH ASTHMA
Swimming is one of the best exercises for people with asthma because it strengthens the muscles that are crucial for breathing. Another good reason to opt for a swim in the warm moist air that you breathe in while exercising, which helps to keep your lungs comfortable as they work!

WALKING WITH ASTHMA
No matter what level of fitness you’re at, walking is an easy, low-impact activity that’s great for people who have asthma. Treat yourself to a pedometer and try to build up to 10,000 steps day. If you feel like you need motivation and support, walking is a wonderful exercise to share with friends!
Regardless of what physical activity you prefer, try to ensure that it’s not in conditions that can exacerbate your asthma symptoms. It’s important to avoid exercising in heavily polluted or extremely dry air, or environments that contain allergens, such a high pollen levels.
